It’s less than four days until Juliann (from Monday Mgmt.) and I leave for NYC, New Jersey, and Maine! I am so freaking excited about our trip. I can hardly contain myself. I can’t wait to wear my fluffy black parka and knitted alpaca hipster - hat… all the kiddie’s love the hipster hat.
It’s been nearly a year since I’ve been to NYC. I can’t wait to have a latte at Grumpy’s Cafe, eat truffle mac and cheese at Cafeteria, and party hardy with my homegirl’s (you know who you are). The main purpose of the trip though is the show in Maine on Saturday, where I’ll be opening up for the band Fun.
You know what else is awesome? I found out I have a cousin in Maine on the way to Saturday’s show, and I get to meet her and her family. Best part? She has a pony farm! I am not even kidding - seven year old Jess’ fantasies are all coming true!!!! Only piece of the puzzle missing now is that limousine with a hot tub in the back that I (as a seven year old child) promised my mother once I had “made it big”. Wonder how I’m gonna ship that back home to Kauai…
Also - my new band “We Cry Diamonds” first single “Oh my my my oh” is now up on iTunes. Yeehaw!!! Check it out and let me know what you think about it. The song has already been used/seen in the show Talent (Alloy TV), and Jane by Design (ABC Family). Hope you like it :)
